Hold Your Sound
Cliq-Note is a touch based, modular, musical tool. Each “note” contains 6 slices that spin freely to allow more tactile access. Each note model is connected with magnets to allow the user to rearrange, create, and compose their own music.

Why
Our research showed that society has reached a degree of saturation in auditory & visual stimuli. As a result, in collaboration with Tara we have created an opportunity to interact with the physical shape of captured sound.
Touch is the under-appreciated sense that we can not live without. Sound primarily exists as an oral & auditory experience and limits other sensorial experiences, specifically touch.
How
Any desired audio is processed through the handmade cymatic laser membrane which projects out a laser visual. The organic laser visual is based on the amplitude and frequency of the input.
End Result
The projected laser visuals are captured, rendered, then cut out by a laser cutting. What's left is the physical representation of that sound. The user is able to touch, play, and learn from their sound like never before.
